How To Begin

Conducting a product drive for security blankets, books, and stuffed animals is easy and is a tremendous way to help homeless children ease the anxieties associated with shelter living.  Our goal is to help homeless children have sweeter dreams by providing our Night Night Packages to them free of charge.  We are thrilled to have you involved and will do our best to help you have a fun and successful event!

What You Do:

v     Choose a start and end date for your drive – we suggest 1-2 weeks.

v     Select a date to assemble the donations into Night Night Packages – we suggest 1-2 weeks following the completion of your product drive.

v     Select a shelter to receive the Night Night Packages.  You may chose any shelter from our website or select your own (we can help!).

v     Inform Project Night Night of your planned product drive (email us at volunteer@projectnightnight.org, call us at 415-310-0360 or complete the Share Your Plans form).

v     Conduct the product drive (you can use our Collection Box Form).

v     At the end of the drive, estimate the number of Night Night Packages you can assemble (each package needs to have a security blanket, book, and stuffed animal).

v     Obtain volunteers to assemble Night Night Packages on the chosen date and at the chosen location – we suggest 1 volunteer for every 10 Night Night Packages you wish to assemble.

v     Order tote bags from Project Night Night and the additional security blankets, books, or stuffed animals that you may need (all items available at the reduced price of $3 per item).  Tote bags are required.  If your organization cannot raise funds to purchase the tote bags, please let us know, and we will work with you to find a solution.

v     Tell us how it went!  Please complete the Tell Us About Your Efforts form.
